What is social entrepreneurship?

Social entrepreneurship uses innovative entrepreneurial approaches to create lasting, positive change in society.

How is the work at Enactus Munich structured?

During your first semester, you work in both a department and a project. From your second semester onwards, you can use that experience to decide whether to continue in your department, your project, or both.

What are the specific tasks at Enactus Munich?

Tasks range from interviewing people affected by a problem to understand their needs, to finding sponsors and partners, organizing events, and planning and running marketing campaigns. Your work depends on your department and project.

Can I choose my department and project?

Once you have been admitted, you can tell us which departments and projects you prefer. We try to take your preferences into account when assigning teams. If you are assigned elsewhere, every team offers exciting work, and we are here to help with any concerns.

Can I change my department or project?

After your first semester, you can choose to continue in your department, your project, or both. If you would like to change teams or have other concerns, speak to your team leader or the board. Together, we can find a solution.

Can I implement my own project?

Yes. Every project starts with an idea to make the world a better place. Alongside our existing projects, our innovation process helps assess and develop new ideas. Your own idea could become a new Enactus project.

How much time should I invest in Enactus?

Plan for about 10 hours a week. This usually includes at least one project meeting and one department meeting, as well as independent work and research.

What is the workload during the exam period?

We are all students, so we take study commitments into account. Team members share their availability, for example through availability calendars, so department and project leaders can plan the workload around everyone's capacity.

Can I take a break from Enactus?

If you are spending a semester abroad or doing an internship, for example, you can temporarily reduce or pause your involvement after discussing it with your team.

What departments does Enactus Munich have?

Our five departments are Marketing, Operations & Innovation, Information Technology, Finance, Relations & Law, and Human Resources & Events. Explore the department overview to learn about their roles.

What are the current projects?

Explore our current projects to see what our teams are working on and the impact they aim to create.

Is there a minimum membership duration?

No, there is no official minimum duration. The longer you stay involved, however, the more impact you can achieve.

Do I need to speak German to join Enactus Munich?

No. Our community includes many international students, and meetings are often held in English. German and other languages can be helpful, but they are not a requirement.

Do I have to study business administration to join?

No. We welcome students from different disciplines, and many of our tasks are outside business administration. Working together lets us learn skills and perspectives from one another. Diversity and interdisciplinary collaboration are central to Enactus Munich.

Can I join in my first semester?

Yes, you can join at any stage of your studies, including your first semester. What matters most is your team spirit and your motivation to work towards a better world.

Is there a membership fee?

The membership fee is €20 per semester. It covers the association's running costs, including website hosting, membership administration, and tax returns.
